Photographic Competition and 2012 Camino Calendar

posted on 11 July 2011

Dear Pilgrim Friends,

The “CSJ of SA – 2012 Camino Calendar” photographic competition is now open. Only fully paid up members of the CSJofSA may participate. The closing date is the 15th October 2011.

DOWNLOAD the Photo Competition Rules and Entry form here >>

This is our Confraternity’s third photographic competition. Judging from feedback which we have received last year, the competition has become the highlight of the year for a large number of our members. It is a wonderful opportunity for you to review all the photographs that you have taken on the Camino, to select the three best ones and to enter them into the competition.

An independent panel of judges will select thirteen photographs (a cover and one for each month), which, in their opinion, best reflects the spirit of the Camino.

Fantastic prizes can be won:
1st Prize is a Nikon Coolpix S3100 (14 MP) digital camera
2nd prize is a Nikon 8x25 Travelite V Binoculars
4 x Consolation prizes. Cape Union Mart has kindly donated four R150 gift vouchers. The judges will determine the criteria and issue the vouchers as ‘spot prizes’, based on photographic artistic merit, etc.

The photographer of each photograph that will be selected for the calendar will receive due accreditation in the calendar. Here’s a brilliant opportunity for you to impress your family and friends with your photographic skills. For further details, please familiarize yourself with the competition rules, which will be circulated to members by email.

You can start placing you orders for the 2012 Camino Desk Calendar now. Please do not delay. By placing your order now you will assist us with the planning of the final print order. I will be sending out frequent reminders and order forms during the next few months.

Each calendar will sell for R65.00 which includes packaging and postage to any destination within the RSA.

The desk calendars make wonderful gifts for friends, family and colleagues and will provide year round Camino memories and inspiration.

We are aiming to post all calendars to customers during the first week of December 2011. This will give you time to send them off as gifts before Christmas.

Best wishes

Fran Parsons
Chairman
